The above screen pictures are from the readings that we were instructed to read. "Distributed Self", article is pretty interesting. I t talks about how we can create avatars to do things like us humans do in real life. We can customize it to look exactly like us. We can even make it think like us and make them be able to have our ideas or thoughts. The article stated that it can be a great way to relieve some stress of multitasking. It could also be used for when people die they could be able to go to our avatars and see what we said or what we felt, because avatars are there forever. One can have multiple avatars also.
I personally feel this article does relate to the assignment we had about Identity Map. The assignment mad us complete a survey asking us several question as to what we had online. So basically they were asking how many accounts we had for things on the web such as social media, emails, and etc. They wanted to know how many identity's a person had online, which in my case was not a lot except emails. The survey presented a map of the the things we had outside this earth and it was pretty cool and amazing to see what I had out there and I can imagine what some people have out there just floating around. Thus article does relate to that assignment, I think it pretty cool and feel everyone should read this and also do the Identity map exercise to see exactly what we all have out there.
